Belfast Net Zero
UP2030 Belfast explores the relationship between neighbourhoods, community, and sustainable urban living. Commissioned by Belfast City Council as part of the wider UP2030 initiative, the report communicates research and insights focused on creating more liveable, resilient, and people-centred environments.
Guided by the principles of balance, urgency, and accessibility, the design translates complex research into an engaging visual narrative through illustration, colour, and information design. The goal was to make ambitious ideas feel approachable, communicate optimism and help residents, stakeholders, and decision-makers connect and engage with the city's long-term vision.
"We want to create people-focused environments with playful streets and spaces where children, families, and communities can live and thrive."
The project represented an opportunity to work at the intersection of design, community, wellbeing, and the built environment—using visual communication to support conversations about belonging, sustainability, and the future of our shared spaces.
