Barcelona Pavilion

Barcelona Pavilion Study — Spatial Design Reconstruction

This project was developed as part of the Spatial Design Course at Chelsea, University of the Arts London. The exercise focused on digitally reconstructing the Barcelona Pavilion by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe in Vectorworks 2026, with an emphasis on understanding spatial composition, proportion, and material relationships.

The model explores the pavilion’s modular grid system, layered planes, and refined use of material—particularly travertine, marble, glass, and chrome. Through the process of modelling and visualisation, the project aimed to develop a deeper understanding of architectural space, precision, and the relationship between structure and perception.
